I’m Jennifer Degen, MA a Somatic and Resilience Coach, founder of Mind Body Awareness and The Resilient Practitioner™.
But more importantly: I’m someone who knows what it’s like to feel off, tired, and disconnected… even while doing “all the right things.”
Years ago, I found myself numb and hollow, despite all my training, practice, and personal development. I was teaching mindfulness and embodiment to others, while secretly feeling lost inside.
It wasn’t until I began working with my nervous system, my trauma patterns, and the deeper layers of somatic healing that things really transformed, and stayed shifted.

Why I Do This Work
I’m not just trained in resilience, I’ve lived it.
Over 35 years in the field, I’ve guided more than 3,000 clients through emotional reset, burnout recovery, and nervous system realignment.
But here’s what you won’t find on my credentials list:
I once got dropped on my back during a trust fall, and ended up needing brain surgery.
I’ve walked through chronic pain, trauma recovery, and full nervous system reset… and came out the other side stronger, softer, and more whole.
I’ve spent hundreds of hours on the mat, not just teaching yoga, but living inside my body, breath by breath, as I rebuilt my life.
I’m not here to fix you.
I’m here to walk beside you, because I’ve lived the healing you’re ready for.
